There is a lot we can feel anxious about and, for many of us, anxiety can be a major component of our day. Is there anything that can be done to reduce or even remove the hold anxiety can have on us?
The good news is that since anxiety arises in our own hearts and minds, it is from within our own minds we can find the ways to diminish it and eventually cut it off at the root. The talk will introduce the possibly surprising insight, passed down from the Buddha, that our well-being doesn’t depend on exterior circumstances at all but is within our own control. The tools we need are waiting for us to discover and learn how to use.
Keith Rowan has, since 1973, travelled 5 continents studying Buddhist thought and practice. He has been privileged to have had instruction and direct guidance from many great mentors and guides. He has been sharing his knowledge and facilitating retreats for over 20 years in several countries.
Keith’s real skill though is taking the core essence of Buddhism and making it accessible to the western mind and practical for ordinary people.
