‘First listen to many teachings from many teachers, then realise all teachings are as the pith-instruction,
then practice them day and night, and dedicate all of them for the flourishing of the Buddha dharma’.
Tsongkhapa (1357 – 1419)
It is good to listen to all kinds of teachings and teachers, but at some point you must have confidence in your own way, otherwise you will end up practicing with confusion. There are many forms and schools of Buddhism and it can be difficult for new practitioners to know which to choose. However, the beauty of the Buddha dharma is that we can study all of these schools without any contradiction or confusion. How can this be possible? Join acarya Kalsang Tashi as he explores how we can listen to teachings from many teachers and realise all of them as pith instruction.
ācārya Kalsang Tashi is a lecturer of Buddhism at K. J. Somaiya University, Mumbai, India. He studied Tibetan Buddhism for 18 years at a Tibetan monastery in India.
